Blahs and Procrastination

Have been having a creative lull recently. Made some chili but haven't sewn all that much. I had planned to post the following at a later date when everything was (more) complete. But here goes.

First, my second pin cushion made like a boxy zipper pouch but with no zipper and no lining. The hardest part was closing the opening used for turning right side out and for filling with crushed walnut shells. It's finished but not much to look at.

Then there's the unfinished dish mat using crazy quilt as you go technique. It needs edge binding... You can see the binding strips in the photo waiting for pressing and connecting and stitching to the mat. Soon...

Third, there are the bowl cozies. As you can see from the photo, I haven't even begun these. Nice fabrics though -- inexpensive fat quarter bundle from Amazon.

Finally, there are the hot pads made from Dollar Tree kitchen towels that I have maybe kind of begun; still in the planning stages and waiting for me to iron things. Not worth photographing until they are further along.

I also have a handmade book in the works, but it's been in its current condition for months so is hardly worth mentioning.

<sigh>

Hope I can reacquire my creative motivation soon; I miss it.
