Autopsy of a Zipper Pouch

Thought I'd post a little update on Zipper Pouch 2.0. I tried everything I could think of to unstick the zipper. No joy. I finally applied the scissors and cut the bag open. Found that somehow I had messed up the top stitching on one side of the zipper and the lining was not pulled down where it belonged. The lining was, therefore, getting caught in the zipper when the slider moved. Don't know how I missed this as I really think I checked it after stitching. But....

Meanwhile, the too chocolatey pie has been served at 2 meals and I still don't care for it. Trying to think what I can do differently next time. I like these quick and easy cream cheese pies and want a rich chocolate one. But not this rich. It will be a while before I make another pie but when I do, I'll probably work on Chocolate Cream Cheese Pie 1.1.

Finally, Zipper Pouch 2.1 may not be in the works for tomorrow. Singer, the machine Mom used to create all of her quilts when she was still alive, has decided to stop performing correctly for me. She (my Singer sewing machine) appears to have a tension problem in the upper thread but changing the tension doesn't help. In addition, there's this odd noise! So, first thing tomorrow when I'm not tired and a bit disgusted with it all, I plan to disassemble, clean, oil, and completely rethread her, according to the manual, to see if I can fix the problem. As there is no sewing machine repair shop in the area, don't know what I'll do if I cannot fix her and prefer not to think about it.

Well, good night world. See you again tomorrow. Here's hoping it's a better day.

I've been seeing this a lot on YouTube. Thought I'd leave you with...
